Well - it’s that time again - another month of riding (or not riding due to pissing rain or shite knees!) over, rounded things off with another ride around the usual suspect. I’d been fiddling with the bike again - swapped the 11cm stem for a 13cm, as i’d been feeling a little cramped after fitting the new saddle. Not alltogether convinced that it’s quite right, to be honest, and a 12cm stem may be just the ticket, however i’m going to give the 13cm a fair shake of the rug before flexing the plastic again.
Oh, and whilst on the subject of flexing the plastic, i’ve also finally upgraded the brakes to Ultegra SL Dual pivots. Stand by for kit review… “WOW” Well and truly impressed to be honest, stop way better than the old 600 Single pivots they replaced, not entirely sure just how much of this may have been due to the brake blocks on the 600’s being 18 years old (brakes are model no. BL-6400 - 1990 being last year of manufacture, and i’m damned sure that they are on their original blocks!)
