Pissed it down Thursday, sleet/snow Friday, Snowed proper Saturday and Sunday. Bank holidays - don’t you just love them.
Anyway - there seemed to be a window in the weather round about mid-day today so I braved the elements, and went for a spin on the roadie. Bad move. Not only did it keep trying to snow again, but I managed to break my lhs Pedal. Where did it snap - you guessed it - at the furthest point from home, of course. So - I limped home, foot slipping out of the pedal every time I forgot and tried to ride properly. Not a happy bunny.

Especially as on saturday, I was informed by my bank that YET AGAIN they had information that a bunch of credit cards of theirs had been stolen/cloned and that they would have to suspend my card and reissue. Now, I ask, is this a co-incidence, in that not 10 minutes before, I’d paid the balance on my new comfy chairs by the self same card. So - they rejected the card transaction, and rang me. I told them that I wanted the transaction to go through, and could they please re-action it for me. No - the store would have to re-apply it, but they could hold the card open, for that and only that transaction if I wished. Needless to say, I did. After all, I’ve been waiting for nearly 3 months for the bloody chairs, and want them to get to me asap. SO, had to ring sofa firm back up, get them to re-apply the transaction, while I was on the phone, confirm that it went through, then 5 minutes later got a call from the card folk, stating the sofa was paid for, and my card was now scrap, and a new one would be with me in 7-10 days.
So what the hell do I do until then - simple - i’ve had to buy the bloody replacement pedals on the household cash-card instead, not something I like doing to be honest, as it’s easy for me to lose track of what i’ve spent on the bike if I keep doing that.

Anyway - the new helmet fits great - specialised Propero in Matt Black - very stealthy, and a LOT lighter and more comfy than the old Giro.
And, I’ve just found some nice new Shimano Ultegra SL pedals on Wiggle for a reasonable price, so I’m going to stop grousing, and drink my Coffee and eat my Kit-Kat.
